How do you ensure that the building will be maintained over the long term?
Victory Village will employ a full-time property manager who will live and work on site. Victory Village sill also be staffed with janitorial and maintenance staff. All on-site staff will be supported and supervised by The John Stewart Company's (JSCo) management systems and structure.
RCD takes a multifaceted approach to overseeing the properties we own; with the goal of ensuring that the social, physical, and financial aspects of our properties remain sound for many years after initial development. Budgeted operating expenses and use of replacement reserves help ensure that properties remain stable and in good condition for the long term. Furthermore, RCD works to ensure that our properties effectively serve our residents, remain sources of revitalization in their neighborhoods, and are excellent investments of public and private funding.
RCD oversees the property management service at all RCD properties, which are provided on the ground by JSCo. Founded in 1978, San Francisco-based JSCo is one of the leading property management companies in California. RCD’s long-standing partnership with JSCo has resulted in portfolio-wide standards in management, operations, and coordination with the services providers.
As a neighbor or community member, how do I bring up questions or requests about the building, its residents or management?
The full-time property manager will be available by phone and email. JSCo also provides an after-hours phone number that residents can call for property emergencies. Because JSCo is a direct agent of RCD, RCD staff is continuously notified of any issues on site. A resident services manager will also assist residents to maintain their apartments in good standing and work with property management to address any community issues.
